and of course now i cannot get back to where i had it WORKING letting the recordsing finish .. now it always does what is happening to you ..

just tossed prefs too .. so starting at square one again ..

Me neither, I have tried to switch so many things in preferences as well and still can not solve it

well, i just fired up PT10 and it behaves the exact same way as PT12 .. are you sure it behaved differently ?? i will keep testing while i have PT10 open .. but so far, no dice !!

I am sure it did not behave this way, so maybe I had something set in Prefs in PT10, but have no idea what it was Anyway - thanks for checking, at least we know it is not a difference between versions but probably some setting...

did you have an AudioSuite window open ?? or have processed something with AS while you were working along ?? i will try that next ..

Yes, actually quite a few AudioSuite windows open (De-click, De-noise, De-plosive, EQ, etc...), because I usually do many edits and processing on the run (mixing TV shows)

In case you don't know; Ctrl+Option+Cmd+W is a toggle shortcut for all floating windows.
