Default Apogee 16x/X-HD and PE6R4i

Anybody using this combo? Sure there are..

Just noticed that Apogee don't support the use of X-HD with expansion chassis.

Anybody know why?

I almost use this option. Aside from the 16X. I use Rosettas. Works Great.

We use 16X's with the Xhd cards and an expansion chassis.

Make sure you read the manuals and put the interfaces in "advanced mode"

Reviving this topic....

So it's safe to say that although Apogee doesn't approve of this, it does in fact work? You keep the Apogees in advanced mode? I do that anyway for the I/O setup I use. Is there any reason an expansion chassis should behave any differently than the PCI slots inside the computer? If not, I don't see why it wouldn't work...

I've been considering a Magma PE6R4, but of course only if it plays nice with my Apogee interfaces.

Any input on this would be much appreciated, as it seems difficult to locate a definitive answer on the web. Firsthand experience appears to be the safest bet.

Thanks!
