Define "integrate." It only works on audio tracks. It's next to useless for those working primarily with virtual instruments. In that sense, Waves NLS "integrates" better.

PT also mostly works on audio tracks. People who use MIDI mostly go for Logic and then come back to PT for mixing. So in that sense it is integrated just nicely

If we circumvent HEATs limited integration by using another DAW and exporting/importing the audio, it's nicely integrated. LMAO

Sounds like PT needs to better integrate MIDI.

I guess you haven’t heard of the “commit” feature and how you can go about using that. I don’t have to insert a new plug on every track I want saturation on and then setup like I do with Waves NLS . Not really sure what your point was.

I didn't think the obvious needed to be stated. Sure, double your tracks/render the audio so you can then use a beautifully "integrated" HEAT. (That was possible even before "commit.") That's faster than sticking a plugin on the tracks? Seems like the ol' six of one... at best.

Or god forbid they upgrade a decade-old plugin so it works on any track.

I paid a bunch to upgrade my Pro Tools Vanilla to Ultimate last December and seen one decent update and now I have to pay again. Since they're giving Heat away with subscriptions only, it means they are not interested in my business any longer. Sad to say, but after 17 years with PT I think I'm done. I might renew one more year just to give me more than 2 months to swap over all my projects. I'm staring a new project soon and since I've got 64 I/O into Cubase Pro with my Thunderbolt Native I'll do this one in Cubase. Been real! NOT!

So what are you actually whining about?.... if you don’t like HEAT and you feel there are better options go knock yourself out if you are 100% or primarily working with VI’s why would you be using PT in the first place

To me HEAT is just another tool along with half a dozen or so others in a similar category. Btw, talking down to others just makes you look like an idiot.
