I seriously doubt anyone can actually confirm OR deny. Most all companies in this biz are extremely tight-lipped when it comes to this stuff. If you are planning on a purchase, it could be worth waiting a few weeks, otherwise I wouldn't sweat it.

Albee is a gentleman.
Lets me put this way: there is ZERO chance for a PT9, with all the pt8 users having so much problems.

It's all true!!!

The New Macbook will have USB 3.0 / Firewire 1600 & 3200 and SATA ports, not forgetting an express card slot! and

with 2 x 10,000 RPM internal SATA Drives (1 for Audio or another OS!) installed and all for $600.

Digidesign are releasing a unit that looks like the DIGI 001 called a DIGI 007 (Bond Style) with the same amount of ports but with a choice of USB 3.0 or FW 1600/3200 connections with added processing power built in for heavy use plugins!!

and

Pro Tools 9 will have an automatic 'melodyne' style view option in each track to go with elastic time so that audio notes can be tuned instantly.

Unfortunately though there's no ADC..................

Could someone help me up from the floor please...?! I just broke down in tears – not sure if it's from laughing or crying, though.

The only thing planned for Pro Tools 9 is the new "Fahgetabout It" button, which when enabled, will automatically delete all session files you create which it determines have no hit potential. A HUGE time saver for most.
