Default Slightly OT - Newer Jam versions?

I've noticed that the new version of Jam actually uses Toast to burn the CD. My question is this: Does it now turn off the laser between tracks as Toast has usually done?
I've been using the older version of Jam to burn critical cd's with the understanding that it keeps the laser on thru the entire write process. Does anyone have any current knowledge about this?

Toast is fully capable of doing Disc At Once writing (no stoppage of the laser) - just make sure the option 'prefer disc at once' is checked in the preferences menu.

Due to this, I would assume this is why Jam now uses toast for burning although I haven't personally tried it.
