Default PTHD 10, Mountain Lion on Mac Pro3.1

We are thinking of finally moving from PT HD8 HD3 to HD10. We are running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on a MacPro 3.1 Harpertown. We never have issues, so I would like to hear from anyone running Mountain Lion on a MacPro 3.1 Harpertown with 10HD (TDM HD3) and if that runs smoothly for you. We use a lot of VIs via VePro at the moment and run solid daily.

Thanks.

#1 Clone your drive.
#2 try it!

I did it and it was ok. I do think there was a small performance hit though which is why I suggested what I did above.

BTW, I am still running that computer all the way up til Mavericks and 11.1 without much drama.

hi

new here so bare with me, just started running pt hd native w omni, installed pcie, on snow leopard. got the card installed, it worked, native showed up in hardware, but my ilok never transferred, my old pt 10 was showing up, after i uninstalled it ! then i had major snow leopard issues, long story short, my hardware (pcie card) is not showing up. i took it out, put it back, have mountain lion now 10.8.5 with a mac pro 3.1 same as yours and nothing...
i installed the driver 9.03 or whatever it was before i did any of that, i'm not a computer genius, but i'm no dummy, i have dealt with many issues and fixed them before, just not sure what to do? should i do a clean install of mountain lion, reinstall the driver, then 10.3.8 hd in that order(basically ground up restart_

anyhelp wouldbe muchlyappreciated
