Lasso in Track Show Hide

I've been waiting for the lasso function (in the Track show hide) to be fixed ever since PT went to OSX.

Well it's been way to long.
This is a very useful function and I can't believe more users aren't complaining.

Before it got busted :
Moving the cursor to the extreme left of the Track Show/Hide activated the Lasso cursor which allows for
drag selection of tracks. Very useful!
As it is now, the lasso cursor is very picky about how it gets activated, I usually have to press the CONTROL modifier just to get it to come on at all.

But here is the real problem. The lasso cursor used to turn in to a ADD to selection cursor ( is has a little + sign) when the COMMAND modifier was hit. This allows you to add to your displayed tracks.

So for example if you are showing tracks 7-15 and you want to add 22 - 30 you would COMMAND drag select in the track show/hide to include them.
What is happening now is that the tracks that are showing get de-selected when you try to ADD to the selection. Basically defeating the whole purpose of the add lasso function.

So anyway, I'm hoping that a bunch of you guys will jump on this post and bitch to see if we can get the Digi programers to fix what they broke.

I've missed this function ever since OSX. Single clicking tracks is sooooo pedestrian!

As an individual inflicted with color blindness, i find the whole show/hide feature difficult to use at best; I simply have a hard time seeing the color of "selected" items.

Add to that, as you've already mentioned, the seemingly arbitrary and random way in which the function works, I'm often left wondering just how to get certain tracks to "select".

I did discover it was possible to drag the order of tracks consistently only AFTER I performed a save.

Edit: Re the show/hide, the lasso seems to work in 6.7 cs2 (my latest).
