Default Ableton Live in PT11
I was told by Ableton that the 64-bit version of Live would work with PT11. I installed the Live 8.4.1 (64bit) over my 32 bit version and Neither version of Protools (10.3.6 or 11.0.1) showed the Live rewire plugin. I fully uninstalled then re-installed the 32 bit version. Made sure it worked with PT 10.3.6, then renamed it "_32", installed the 64 bit version of Live and STILL no Live in PT11. After each install I launched Live to install appropriate elements (supposedly) before launching Protools.

Anyone have this working with PT11?

you have to open ableton before pro tools

Last time I checked this was a recognised fault with Live 9, in the 64bit version rewire ain't working.

Heard from Ableton support on this (about a month ago) and they said they need to test on a system withe PT's 11 (go figure!). Haven't heard back. So anyone HERE have Ableton (8 OR 9) working with PT11?

Works fine, Ableton Live suite 9 64bit running with PT 11. In short, delete the PT prefs & run up again.

Thanks for replies. Deleting "installedAAXPlugins" pref fixed it.

I had the exact same trouble, and that also fixed it for me! Thanks for the tip. I just deleted "InstalledAAXPlugins", and then restarted ProTools 11, then Ableton Live 9, and the ReWire connected perfectly.

Ditto here. I had a different problem where I would get AAE Error 20010 but deleting the file also fixed this.
