Default T-Racks 24 or T-Racks Plugs?

I hope this isn't a dumb question but what is the advantage of having the plug-ins over the stand alone version? I would think that it would be better to get out of PT for mastering so the PC's resources won't be spread so thin. If that's the case why do the plugs cost more?

In the standalone you can't easily run a signal through the nice T-Racks EQ, then Waves C4, then the T-Racks Saturation stage, which is a more effective signal chain than what T-Racks offers alone.

Also the plugs cost more because you can use dozens of them in a mix if you want. Too bad they don't ****** work...

the t-racks plug is not yet available for RTAS PC. and don't hold your breath; they've been promising its release since February 2003 (11 months later, and we couldn't be further away from the release, it seems).

and as 3JDamon alluded to, there are many bugs (many linked to the spontaneous burts of extremely loud white noise the plug emits from time to time in VST form), and IK is about the last company to expect fixes for bugs in their software.

I tried the demo plugin version in Wavelab and found the EQ to be much improved, but I never really liked the comps/limiters in any version so it wouldn't be worth it to me.I guess If I was going to buy any T-Racks stuff it would be the plugs so I could just use what I wan't(the EQ) rather than being forced to use the whole thing. In any rate I like the Sonalksis SV-517 EQ http://www.sonalksis.com/ much better coupled with Timeworks or Fishphones solutions http://www.digitalfishphones.com/mai...em=2&subItem=1

Wait a minute? I thought that the Tracks plug was included when you buy the Pro Tools software and hardware. I installed the Tracks and played around with it for 5 minutes. It seemed like it worked? Anyone?

The T-Racks that is included in the bundle is T-Racks EQ which is only one part of the rull T-Racks plugin set.

kmshroom: The T-racks RTAS for PC is done, it should be out within 3-5 days.
