Default Would you, do you Use Vocal Alighn?

Hi folks, heres a quick question,
Could you or do you use Vocal Alighn for alighninhing Purcussion that is slightly early or late, to a guitar track? WOuld that work? If not why not?
Maybe this is common practice allready. I get to a point in a project where, my ears just start to go to sleep and This would be a wounderfully handy ting to do when ther is a lot going on in a song and I know that the bongo should line up with a particular guitar hit.
Thanks in advance
Peace

Hi, not exactly sure what you mean, but just as a general practice, for every hour of sound stuff I take about a 5 minute break. It keeps you fresher than just working through.. I either go outside, or just go sit in the studio with no music on, and very little sound, if any.. If you get to the point in a day where you start to feel numb to stuff and your ears get tired, definitely break for dinner or lunch or whatever, or just pack it up for the day.. You usually end up doing more harm than good at that point.. Sorry I can't help with the aligning thing, I'm not exactly sure what you are saying..

Thanx for the reply,
I think that is great advice. The 5 min break to listening ratio sounds like a great idea.
Some times my ears just get tired and I find I can't hear the wood for the trees.
Thanx again

VocalAlign is for Vocals only. I dont think it would work very well for your bongo.

I've used it for percussion alignment to hh or snare or what ever and it works great, specialy if the player is not 100% fix on the beat, it saves me alot of time.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Take a look at this thread. Doesn't involve Vocalign, but t might be a better solution to your problem.
