Default Pro Tools 7.4.2 Crashes Constantly

I have a Mac Pro 2.66 Dual Core Intel Xeon running through a m-audio 1814 and pro tools constantly crashes saying that the host audio device cannot be found. Is this a Pro Tools issue or is a m-audio driver issue? It has only started recently but its done it 5 times in 3 days already. As far as I know I havent made any changes to the setup, Any help would be appreciated...
