Default New MacBook Pro, thinking about PT LE 8

Hi, everyone.

It's been a while since I needed to post or read here.
I have been happily working with my Digi002+first generation intel MacBook+Logic 7.

I have just purchased the new MacBookPro 2.4Ghz with 4GB RAM.
I want to upgrade my PT LE to 8 and Logic to 8 as well.
I have read about the possible solutions for my new MacBookPro not having a FW400 port.

I have a 3 year old LacieD2 500GB at home.
It has both FW800 and FW400 on it.
Should I use that as a converter or Would I be better off with a FW800 -> FW400 converter.

Lastly, Do you see any problems for me to buy PT LE 8 and Logic 8 to use with Digi002 Rack?

I just setup one for my boss to go do a remote gig with, but using a MBox2 Pro and MBox Mini. Did some work on it before packing it and it was fine.

Hi, Thanks for the answer...
So you used a MacBookPro?

Was it with a FW800->FW400 converter or you used a FW800 HD with a FW400 port on it.

I am just trying to decide which way to go...
