Avid temporary files.
Hi,
I use CCleaner to clean up temp files and about every two weeks there is close to 1 GB of just Avid related temporary files. They seem to mostly have something to do with the Avid application manager. Why is Avid application manager regularly creating large amounts of temps files? |

Re: Avid temporary files.
Right, that must be where the problem lies for me as I'm still running 2.5.1. Updating now. Thanks.

Re: Avid temporary files.
Actually I do have a couple of more questions,
the Avid Downloads folder (C: Avid Downloads) is a temporary folder for installation files correct? The last I checked there, it was storing multiple version install packages. Can this folder be manually emptied if desired? I have a folder named Downloaded Installations/AppMan located at C:/AppData/Local. This folder also contains multiple Avid application Manager installers, 5 to be exact. Can this folder safely be emptied? I'm getting the message: "Update Not Allowed: Software updates are only available with an active Upgrade plan." while trying to update to Pro Tools First 12.2.0.606 in Application Manager. I've been able to update to all previous versions, what does this mean? |
