Magma PE6R4 & HD Process Cards

I was told by a dealer that the Magma chasis and Original Core /Process cards could only support three cards. Anyone running non acell cards in a PE6R4 chassis beyond a three or four count including of course core card.

You can have a core and (3)Process max. It's the same with the Expansion HD. I didn't know this at first and had 4 Process. Disaster. Random ghosts in the machine that destroyed stability. Soon after, Digi released the 3 Process max spec and I upgraded 1 card to Accel and all was right in the world of PT once again.

I have a Core, (2) Accel, and (3) process. This configuration works fine - except that I need more power!! LOL! Planning to move to Intel, Magma PE6 and three more Accel very soon.

(here) core+accel+4 process is just fine and also works with : core+ 4 process using PT 6/7/8.x

I use core, 2 accel and one old card here. 4 cards total. works like a charm.

Thanks for your feedback- I am in debate as to crossgrade or go the chassis. Of course a crossgrade and no chassis would only give me three slots , And I likely will run out of dsp and need a chassis eventually. decisions.
