Default I/O Changed

Long Story Short: PT 11.1.3 HD, Win 7 PC, Presonus 16.4.2 AI.
I was having trouble with the Firewire Option Card in the SL16, but, while troubleshooting it to that card (which I replaced and is now good), somehow upgraded from PT 11.0 to PT 11.1.3 HD (yeah, I'm going "huh?" too as I didn't install it). Anyway, I now find that I have to use the HD Audio Channels 1 and 2 to get audio where as before, I was using channels 17 and 18 on the SL16 for the output. I have tried setting the I/O back for the output on 17/18 but it won't work. Am I missing something in setting up the I/O?

First, how did you change from PT11 to PT11 HD? Did you authorize an HD license on your iLok? You don't actually have to install PT HD, as it's a unified installer - meaning all the features are in the code, it's the license that unlocks them for use.

Did you try Defaulting the IO?

I don't know how HD got activated. I did have some work done on the computer and they may have activated it somehow but I certainly did not do it. I tried the default I/O and it isn't what I had set up before. Been real busy with gig's lately and have not had the time to sit down with it and figure out what happened to my I/O settings.

Open the iLok Manager and check your license. Make sure it is still there, and the correct version.

I will when I get back to the studio. Thanks......I didn't think about checking the ILok Manager.
