You didn't witness the masterduc meltdown. That's a story best left for nights around a campfire.

Personally I don't enjoy wading thru 20 posts of bitching to locate that one bit of info I may need in a hurry.
I wouldn't mind DUC being a bit more like a dictatorship in this regard, ecpecially seeing that it is by far the most useful Pro Tools support tool.

Maybe it's only one guy - two screen names.

I had forgotten just how wildly entertaining those threads were/are.

Most threads are not like that here.

The reality show threads, like the recent Waves threads, come around ever so often and are actually quite entertaining. Remember the ADC and PT 10 upgrade threads?

DTS doesn't need to do much different IMO. What usually happens is a handful of people beat each other to death, someone gets banned or claims DTS treated them unfairly, then the thread either slowly fades away, becomes nicer, or locked. It is almost scripted.

Also in regards to DigiTechSupports original post. Over the years there has been very little policing of threads and in general the freedom to discuss anything not specifically forbidden by the terms of use. This has lead to some rather spirited discussions. Not every online forum is as lenient. Hopefully things stay that way. Easiest way to ensure that is to just be civil.
