Default 2019.10 Problems duplicating MIDI clips (Out of time with grid)

Update:

I posted this just hours before learning about the .12 release.
Looking forward to testing it out.

Until then:

I'm having issues in 2019.10 keeping MIDI clips/notes arranged properly on the timeline when duplicating clips (Ctrl + D), or Alt + dragging a file onto the grid.
After I duplicate a file, I always have to readjust the midi notes back in time with the grid.

It happens with the repeat option as well.
I'm using PT 2019.10/Windows 10

What are the best workarounds?

My thought is:

Create a single MIDI clip of each section> drag/bounce it to audio THEN arrange my compositions.
At least the drag/bounce feature keeps me happy about my setup.

Then keep the original MIDI file in case i need to edit the notes>drag back to audio.

Thanks

Welcome to the worst pt bug I've ever seen in my life. Sometimes selecting midi clips and copying with copy and paste function may help instead of using alt>drag. It's unbelievable that this bug has never been fixed since pt12 release. Before pt12 this bug affected audio material only. Now with midi it's a nightmare.

@innesireinar

Yeah I just recently got back to constructing MIDI drum tracks again. Last time I produced any MIDI tracks was back in 10 & 11 and never had any issues.
I used to Ctrl+D a drum loop to jam all night to. All the way across the board------------------------------------------------------

Copy and paste works sometimes. At least 50 percent of the time.

You gotta hear this demo I stayed up all night doing the past two nights. lol
I really was determined!
I could have had drums done by dinner if I could do things in 1 2 3.

And now a new version just came out. I hope its a reward for all the effort! lol
