Did they pay for them...?

Default Re: Pro Tools 2019 !

I bailed on PTHD when my subscription ran out at a time when I couldn't afford the renew fee. And since I couldn't renew by the required time, the price of course increased 4x. I occasionally pop in here to check on what they've added since my stopping point of 12.5. Shew buddy. There's been one or two nice things, but only stuff that (this old sentiment again) every other DAW has had since 2003. I guess once you're the industry standard, and enjoyed a phase where studios deemed you worth the tens of thousands of dollars the old tape machines cost...it's really hard to come down from there. I'll keep checking in on occasion, mostly out of morbid curiosity, while continuing to hone my Reaper skills.

Indeed. The urge to check in just to see if anything actually enviable happened will always be there.

This is why I am here, but I still use my PT12.5.1

As long as you don’t have a Mac that update every year, you can sit on a version of PT for quite awhile

Just been helping someone setup their new Presonus software and omg I love the fact that I don’t even have to think about anything while using PT.

This has to be one of the best things about my relationship with PT, I just use the software to get where I need to go no thinking required

There's no need to update a Mac every time a new OS is released.
