Default "full frame message" what\'s this???

My new Unitor8 MIDI/SMPTE interface has a setup parameter called "full frame message" with options of "off, 2, 5, 10" frames, specifically for software like PT, that need the "full frame message" repeated while being transmitted, for the software to function properly. I have searched the net, the forum, the PT manual, the whole lot and found not a single reference to this issue. Any ideas?

thanks in advance...
