Default Rec/Auto switch releases Preview

Wonder if this is an undocumented feature: If you set your pref to 'Rec/Auto switch changes auto modes,' and then go into Preview, you can individually release tracks from Preview with the switch. Cool.

I'll have to check that out - and see if it functions the same on the Dock.

It does! I've got Dock/S3 together. And it should work on a Dock alone, too.

This isn't an S3 feature but a protools feature. Works on any control surface
or without a controller: CMD + click automation mode on the track will also reset that channel.

From the manual:

Taking Controls Out of Isolated
State

You can take controls out of their isolated state
without leaving Preview mode.
To take all controls on a track out of their isolated
state, do one of the following:
 Command-click (Mac) or Control-click (Windows) the automation mode selector on the
track.
 Change the track automation mode to Read or
Off.
