Default Left/Right Scrolling (using Windows 10)

Hi all,

Longtime/first time. I am a podcast editor and just purchased a Pro Tools 2018 subscription, and I'm using it on Windows 10.

I'm finding that I can't scroll left to right except by manually dragging the scroll bar at the bottom of the page. Is there no way to use my built-in trackpad to scroll through the timeline? I was able to do it using my company's version of Pro Tools on a Mac, and it saves me LOTS of time.

Shift + Scroll will work.

I thought that too, but he wants to use a built-in Trackpad. Is there a multi-finger way to simulate a mouse wheel's scroll?

Depending on the laptop model, it appears possible. Search is our friend.

So Shift+2 Finger when the Trackpad is set up properly seems to be the way to do it.

thanks! I'm wondering if there's a way to change the settings, so that you can scroll without having to press shift?

Nope, that would break the up/down scrolling.
