Default Recording..Stereo To Mono? Possible?

Im trying to record Audio Tracks from A Korg Triton into Pro Tools. Only problem is that if I have a Song/Beat in the Triton with 10 Stereo Tracks its gonna be too much for my Powerbook 867mhzG4, 512Ram to handle. Is there anyway I can record a stereo track from the Triton and bring it in PT as a Mono Track?

You can sum the tracks, yes. Bring both left and right on their own audio track in ProTools and output both tracks to a bus. Then set up a mono audio track with the bus as input and record away. Remember to monitor your levels since it will be louder. A little compression or limiting will be good here.

You can also bounce to disk using summed mono.
