Installing PT8 HD over PT 8 LE

About to upgrade to 8 HD from 8 LE. Can I install the HD software over the LE, or do I need to uninstall PT 8 LE first?

While I can't say for sure, I'd highly recommend playing it safe, and uninstalling LE. If there are any files left over, it might mess things up, and there really isn't any bad side effects of uninstalling.

Also I'd make sure to trash the usual files under preferences, DigiSetup, DAE Prefs, ProTools Prefs, and the entire Digidesign folder under Application Support (unless you're trying to preserve some of the old plugins obviously)

Also I'd highly recommend, once you've uninstalled and removed all traces of the LE system, then reboot, rebuild permissions, and then install HD.

But HD won't need any files from the LE install, better to wipe it all off and start fresh in my opinion.
