I just started using PT9 so I am not 100% sure but so far it appears that the smart tool has reverted to what it used to be in PT7. In other words the "lock out" of the trimmer that was implemented in PT 8 *which was fantastic* is gone and the trimmer is back to acting/changing to the pitch shift and the looper tool at will. Can you please confirm (I truly hope I am wrong) and that it is something else (another preference that I need to change).

When you install PT9, all your preferences are reset to the defaults-so you may need to re-check the Edit/Tool Mode lock in the Options menu.
