Install Issue
I ordered PT11 via Sweetwater because Avid will be down until November. I will be talking to my sales rep about this but thought I would ask here, as well.
I was provided with an activation code and a link to Avid. Once accessing my account, it asks me for the activation code. I enter the code and it takes me to a page that asks for the iLok ID, the audio interface type and the serial number on the interface (mBox 2). I enter the serial number from the interface (confirmed from the original registration card from Avid), hit enter and nothing happens. I looked for videos but those available address upgrading from an earlier version to 11 via an Avid purchase or buying 11 outright from Avid. Thanks for any ideas. Basil |

You need to have an iLok account and an iLok 2(the newer blue&grey version, NOT the green, key-shaped iLok 1). The iLok also needs to be registered to your account. Once you complete the activation(of PT), your iLok account will have an "available license", which you will need to drag onto your(connected) iLok 2. Hope that helps

Thank you, Dave. Before attempting the download, I registered an iLok2 to the same account as the one with the greenish key dongle. I transferred the licenses. Am I still missing something?

It has the plugin licenses from the original greenish dongle plus Transfuser.

I asked about that before buying. My guy checked with their Avid rep who said it would be okay. Let me know what you find out and thanks.

contact support and choose option 3 (registration issues) to sort this out
there is no charge for this kind of call

Avid is having problems with upgrades done through Internet Explorer. I used Chrome and it went through.
