Default Free synth plugin?
I'm looking for a free synth plugin for pro tools 10 but can't find one. Something just to demo some ideas hence not buying one.

Please can anyone let me know of where I can find one or some?

Kontakt has free stuff in the player version

They also have a free Razor iirc


PT has xpand which comes with it....it's cool enough

Hybrid is cool it's also included in PT

Where would the synths be in Pro tools? None appear in instruments or am I looking in the wrong place?

Good points but fyi Razor is not free anymore. Although it's Not that great of a VI anyway. Native Instruments as mentioned and if you are on a PC then there are plenty of free VI and Plugins but check this pretty long list of free plugs & VI:

Vacuum is free and included with PT. Actually quite a good mono synth.

And don't forget you need Reaktor to run Razor anyway. I have it but rarely use it (and I paid for the bleeping thing).
