888 24 1/0 no audio

My 24 mix plus system recently had 2 failed cards, so I bought a mix card and a farm card used that matched my old ones perfectly and also test out on
digitest on my system as passed.

Yet, when I open a PT session, it seems to work ok, and pro control seems to work ok and show proper metering but my 888 does not follow with either proper metering (does not show main mix out on ch.1/2) and there is no audio. Not even from the pro control headphones.

I also have a 1622 interface I could use if the 888 has died but funny that the 888 worked fine before... hmm

Ideas?

damaged pin(s) when you reconnected the cable to the "new" cards
or
whatever killed the old cards killed the 888 as well
