Default ABVB - turn off Sync on Green

Is it possible to use the original Targa2000 control panel to switch off SyncOnGreen on AudioVisions ABVB?? Or is there an Avid-Setup-Tool to do this?

As far as I know, there is no way to turn it off. I'm guessing that you are trying to use a flat screen that requires it shut off.

I recall talking to an AV user that was determined to find a way and was not able to, last I heard anyway.

Well, I tried the original Targa2000 control panel, and it was definitely possible to turn off the sync on green.

The problem: AV wasn't starting up anymore. It was showing the color bars on the video-screen and "Initializing video hardware" on the other, and thats it.

Obviously, the targa software takes control in a way that no other software can change any parameters... After disabling the control panel everything works fine again - but the screen is green!

So it IS possible to Switch SyncOnGreen off, and for a programmer it would be a thing of 10 Minutes to write a system-extension which simply switches off this one single bit!!!

Now I would like to know if I should ask for this job an AVID- or an pinnacle-systems-programmer and how I can contact one...

I also would like to know if I am really the only one who would like to use flatscreens on an ABVB ?!?

Thanks for the info... No, you're not the only one that wants to use flat screen on the ABVB card.

From what I understand, if it's possible at all, it's more than a ten minute job to write an extension to get around this or it would have been done by now.
