Default Will AVID make us PAY for a MIDI Timing fix?

Unless I'm mistaken, which is often, Pro Tools HD 8 still has big MIDI timing issues that Avid has said time & again that they are "working on it". Do you think they'll make us pay for it in 9?

Well IF the midi timing stuff gets fixed, it probably won't be before 9. And 9 is most certain to be a paid upgrade. So I'd say 'yeah' if it's even fixed in 9, you'll pay for it.

Of course we will pay for it.

Digitech has already clearly stated in that forum that the fix wouldn't come until Pro Tools 9 and I will be blown away if they give Pro Tools 9 upgrade for free.

While I don't know what will happen... Digi/Avid have in the past released cs updates for older versions.. like they did for 7.4 last year after releasing 8.0

Earlier today I watched the live introduction. One of the audience members asked if MIDI was fixed in PT9. The Avid person said 'no, MIDI is basically still exactly the same as 8.04'

So the good news is, if you buy PT9, you wouldn't be paying for MIDI fixes, because there aren't any! :)
