hi, Protools 9.0.1 windows 7 64 bits, when I load an avi file, during process there is a question asking to extract audio file in new audio tracks, you choice Yes, and inmediately appears a message of error "assertion error in line....", but video is loaded correctly.

anybody with similar experiences?

i capture with blackmagic extreme in avi DV25 or DVPal format, 720x576 25fps on Vegas software, where is type 1 or type 2 choice? I only get a video file DV25 format

Download this and convert them to QT movies.

Then you should read the manual, specifically chapter 51 about PT and Video.

I would never work with an AVI file in Pro Tools. If you work with QT it is cross compatible. AVI's are not and can be buggy at best.
