Glad the fix worked, I had trashed those before for a related KK problem but hadn’t realized that the last update to PT put them back. Will have to remember to check in the future after an update to PT. Had no Idea they were Facebook plugins, why would they be needed?

I discovered that Pro Tools, upon launching, was loading a plugin that was interfering with my KK keyboard. That plugin is has 5 instances that start with FB360 and have different plugins associated with it. I simply went into the PT plugins folder: Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plugins and then highlighted all of the plugins that were Labeled FB360 and moved them out of the plugins folder to my desktop. That fixed my problem! I'm now able to open Komplete Kontrol on an instrument track in PT and all of the buttons, knobs, etc. work and now it will start and stop playback of PT!. I think the FB360 plugins are part of Pro Tools because I never purchased them so they must be built in and I have no use for them so, I'm good to go. I sincerely hope this works for you too. Sorry nothing worked for me with my A61.
I can use it as a simple control keyboard but without the new features announced.

- PT Ultimate 2021.10 OK
- NI products up-to-date (especially Komplete Kontrol)
- last firmware for the A61 OK
- deleted those nasty FB plugins (as we had to do a year ago. Though it was ok now)
- restarted ProTools OK
- choose the right peripheral OK
- restarted (again) ProTools OK
- Created a new session OK
- .. etc

Still does not work.

Posted on the NI forum, waiting for an answer (crossed fingers ON).

I'm still unable to use the transport and such as advertised in the new Pro Tools.

No problem using the Komplete Kontrol plugin. You'll need to delete those FB plugins to get it running.

Turns out you cannot use any Kontrol keyboard as originally stated

"Pro Tools with Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol

Well at least they edited THAT doc. The Release-Day page didn't stipulate that, and the What's New and Reference Guide PDFs in the Installer package (which I just re-downloaded to confirm as of today) don't make that distinction either. (Tho the What's New now says "Supported" keyboards, without indicating which those are)

The latest keyboard will work, not the first generation. No problems here with Big Sur and 21.10 on a 7.1 Mac Pro and HDX system.

Also in 2019 NI stated the first generation key boards would not function on 2019 and Catalina. You need the second generation.
