Default Workspace error message with 12.5.2 to 12.8.3 upgrade

Hi All,
Just curious as to the meaning of this error message after my upgrade from 12.5.2 to 12.8.3. Thanks.

Seems pretty self explanatory - if you want your current Workspace Database file to be compatible with older versions of Pro Tools, go to the location listed and back it up. If you don't plan on going back to an older version, then let it update.

From the Reference Manual:

Indexing Workspace Databases:

Indexing is the process of reading media files, extracting just the metadata for each file, then storing that data in an associated database so that it may be displayed in the columns of a Workspace browser. Once a volume or folder has been fully indexed, it can be searched very quickly because all of the metadata has already been sorted and organized. If a volume or folder has not been indexed, it is indexed automatically the first time it is opened in a Workspace browser. Volumes or folders containing a lot of media files can take a long time to index. For this reason, you may want to manually index specific volumes or files prior to starting a project to help expedite workflow.

How did you manage to buy an upgrade from 12.5.2 to 12.8.3 after they started selling the pro tools 2018 thingy?

My account had the last version of 12 available for download after renewing my support plan.
