Unhappy 002 Rack and PT9.0.2

Hello all,
I just spent the last two days trying to bounce a mix of a track recorded at 88.2. All the time I kept getting either CPU overload errors or Lost communication with interface errors.

I decided to reduce the RTAS load in the session, same problem. Converted the session to 44.1, same problem. I updated the drivers once again, same problem.

Finally I decided to use my PODxt as interface and the mix bounced fine.

Any tips on what can be wrong? Any place in the Boston are where I can take my 002 to be checked?

How many processors are you using?
H/W Buffer size?
Cache Levels?
Working with Apple or PC?
Which OS ?

Mac OSX 10.6.5
PT 9.0.2
Using 8 processors with 99%
10 GB memory

Shoudn't be an issue, specially because I bounced it fine using the PODxt as interface.

Yeah I've been having nonstop error with disconnects and what not from my Digi002 Rack, even when no audio is playing PT9 just locks up. Now that you mention it, when I select my computer as the interface it plays just fine, I just can't hear it because my computer has no speakers lol.

I also get a ton of of CPU overload errors (-6101), even at the highest buffer size and im on a 16core intel mac. I've also set the processor limit to 14 to leave one for the SD2.0 VI

Current wisdom says that it's a good idea to run at one less processor than you have in total. So, backing off to 7 in your case would be worth a try.
