We have the .idb files but no real way to edit them that I know of. At least nothing like what shows in the video.

I'll ask again in another way: do you have some kind of allergy in posting what you and this other person on KVR were sharing with each other? I'm sure he gave you more than just a link to his video.

Many of us must have some sort of PC environment for Mac, like Parallel or Boot Camp. Edit in Windows then copy to Mac. It's not ideal, but at least it's an option.

That's assuming you want to pollute your Mac with Windoze. No thanks. I'm glad I left Windoze behind over a decade ago. I need Microsnot on my computer like I need another pie hole.

Suppose I want to keep Dark Mode colors as they are and ONLY want to change the background color of the edit window to something much lighter. Which line in the text file should I be editing, and to which numbers?

After a couple weeks of Dark Mode, I'm beginning to sink into this same thought. These tweaks aren't really helping. The only thing I don't dig about the default DM colors is the background color of the edit window, and even that has grown on me.

Switching back to Classic after a few days of Dark... no bueno.

There is no one background color for the edit screen. I've found how to do a change to the track grid if that's what you're talking about but the rest of the edit screen - no soap (yet). Have you looked at the imgur link I posted a couple of pages back - it has the lightened track grid canvas and a darkened grid.

After working with the tweaked dark mode I'm not switching back to 'classic'. I can work longer and with less eyestrain than the original mode. It actually looks like Avid did something with the 'classic' mode that is different from the original in previous versions of PT.

For those that are asking for help with the dark mode changes and so on I'm going to have to break off for a little while but I'll be back. Just got some bad news about my sister (she's the last close blood relative I have) out in Arizona about a mass the doctors found on her stomach. Our family sadly has a long history with cancer.

I need to take a break to get through this as my head is elsewheres.

Thanks all - she goes to the oncologist today to discuss her scans and schedule the surgery.
