Why trying to use a 3 years old soft on a new OS?, doesn't make so much sense.

Just because I use it for home recording and I don't want to spend money to upgrade it

Definitely holding off on my system. I expect AppNap to cause issues until Avid releases a version that opts out of it.

Hence, don't update the OS either.

Trust me, when combining old soft with new OS leads to headaches.

AppNap is an OS feature that you can turn off per app.

Might work, but clone your old drive first so you can go back... I did have 9.0.6 running on OSX 10.8.4. But not everyone who tried on ML got PT9 to work, so YMMV.

To answer the actual question, YES - I am running PT 9.0.6 with a MOTU UltraLite Mk1 on Mavericks since DP4 with zero problems (all drivers current). Recording, editing, playback and plugins all work. I am running it on a 2011 iMac i5 27" and a 2012 MBP i7.

Caveat: I produce a broadcast radio show, and only use one voiceover and two stereo music tracks, plus a few plugins. Not a huge rig by any means, and YMMV.

PT 9.0.6 seems to have somehow magically escaped the Curse Of Digi (COD), whereby I had to spend several hundred dollars every time I did a major OS update. I had it running flawlessly on every version of ML as well.

Knocking on wood
