Default Session Data import function from 8.0.4 to 9.0.0 leads to a PT crash

When I import tracks via the Session Data import function from a former PT 8.0.4 session with Virtual instruments from Spectrasonics, especially with Omnisphere, PT 9.0.0 crashes. IT´S REALLY URGENT, BECAUSE I NEED TO GET ACCESS TO THAT MATERIAL. By the way it also crashes when I start the original 8.0.4 session. But when putting Omnisphere into an insert in a new 9.0.0 session, it works.

SO I'm clear ( since I use omnisphere constantly). If you start a new session and use omni it works BUT if you open and 8.0.x session it crashes?

Do setups or tags still work in PT9?

When I open an 8.0.4 session it instantly crashes before anything happens. It´s frustrating, cause I was so naive, that I thought the new PT 9 is tested that way that it is compatible with the direct previous version. All my actual work is now blocked. When I don´t find a solution today I have to reinstall PT 8.0.4.

You did create a backup of your working system before the upgrade, right?
So that you can get back to a working system easily?

Are you sure you have all of the latest versions of the plugins you have installed? Are you sure it's Omnisphere that is crashing? Have you tried starting up the session with the plugins inactive?

Franco-have you tried opening the session and holding the SHIFT? That de-activates all plug ins. then you can turn them on one at a time to see what makes PT bug out.

Wow, you´re god, thanks. At least this way I can open the session and it works. Then I activated bit by bit the plug-ins. With the Mini-Grand PT collapses again. I tried it again and first saved the session completly deactivated. When I open this session with deactivated plugins again it shortly shows the Mix window and collapses again. It´s a bit strange.

I tried it again with a session with no Virtual Instruments, activated the plugins and somewhere it colapses again.

I would save it with everything deactivated ( and rename it something). Open a new session and bring in a track at a time until you have a working session. Obviously your going to lose somethings-but thankfully not everything..

At some point it´s crashing. I got it open and turned the Spectrasonics instrument system setup from server to not streamed. Thus I got all Spectrasonics and the other VI´s activated but when I was going to activate the plugins it crashed again. Do you know if there is a new Waves version required?

I only installed the PT9 update. Maybe I should have used the full installer.
