it'd be nice to be able to import plug in settings WITHOUT their automation. for starting new mixes. if a plug in has automation, i guess you'd have to choose from what point the settings come from. i can see how that would be complicated. it'd still be a nice feature to not have to go find whats automated and disable the automation of certain parameters because they relate to a different song. there's always the chance of operator error not catching everything thats automated from the previous song.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but it would be VERY helpful to simply allow multiple session documents to be open simultaneously AND to presumably be able to cut copy past between them. For what I am thinking it would not be necessary for them to be able to play simultaneously, however that would present some interesting possibilities too.

1. Translucent regions that would allow grids to show through.

2. An AudioSuite palette that would allow user-defined storage of one's favorite 6-10 AS plugs in plain sight.

3. A global 'All Solo Off' hot key and a corresponding global 'Solo On' indicator light or icon at the top of the Edit window to indicate solo status.

I'm still using PT 7.3.1, so if any of these have already been implemented, then never mind.

I use Quickeys for my favorite AS Plugins.

User-defined handles on audiosuite stuff, (so we can then do a crossfade in and out!)

A preference for "1 time only" destructive record - so you have to manually activate it each time.

Yes. Yes. Yes.

The default should always be "new file"

4) RTAS Optimization for Virtual Instruments

This. Above everything else. Something needs to be done sooner rather than later;
+1
+1

and, of course, the new MIDI window...presumably something more than a graphics-enhanced version of what we're currently stuck with...

I'm dreaming to have a real truly customizable audio list window. I know "workspace manager" is some kind of workaround, but as it physically act on the uadio files on the drives, it's not a solution.
The ability to make virtual folders of audio that other sessions can use would be a very efficient way of working. I'm still not happy with the way i have to find my audio using key words. As a post guy ; folders in the audio window is a real lack...

hope this would be implement in a soon update.
fully agreee- not only for post, but also for producing and recording-
seting up folders(groups) like fav bass, fav Loops, Rock Drums, Pop Drums, Keys, ....

in order to quickly acces the sounds-

why is that not possible in the regions list- they did it in Logic 8

working with samplelibraries would make life much easier

1) Separate and improved midi window

2) Favorite plugin/Last plugin used for faster access

3) Un-realtime bounce

4) Optimization of RTAS for VIs

5) Color labels to match color of audio files

6) More plugin inserts (need more than 5 please!)

7) Again, better midi!

Thanx for the consideration Digi!
