Default Import Files To One Track

Hello!

How do I import all the songs off a CD into the same track in PT?

Thanx!

Either import them all into the regions bin and drag them over into one stereo track, or import them all to new stereo tracks and copy/paste the data into one stereo track

Do you mean, one by one? When I select them all and drag, they insert new tracks. There is no dialogue box.

One by one again. Hmmmmm!

SampliQuoia does it with a smile. I'm not sure if Sonar does. It seems like, if you have the option with one file, you can/should have it with multiple files as well., no?

Thanx for the response, anyway!

It's quite possible that I suffer from old habbits.
I insert disc, import from the dropdown menu.
When I do that, I can import any/all of the tracks to either the regions bin or new tracks.

Thanx, but that isn't what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get all CD tracks to the same PT track.

Once you have them all in the clip list you can determine the drop order : Top to Bottom or left to right.

click on the triangle next to 'clip' on the right hand side of the edit window.

--> : timeline drop order
