Default Looking for a specific sound, need a little help

I'm new to Pro Tools, and I'm as well new to the forum, so I'm kinda having a little bit of trouble figuring everything out (in both Pro Tools and the forum). However, I've started to be able to lay simple tracks, bass and drum tracks, but synth... not so much.

I'm looking for a pretty close sound in the song OHMYGODMGK by PulseFX. The first 11 seconds is absolutely amazing to me, that sound has me hooked and I MUST reproduce it.

If anyone could give me a hand with how I might do that then I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!

Put up a pair of stereo instrument tracks. Find a string type sound, maybe with Hybrid for the pad. Maybe Vacuum has a lead tone that would get close to the melody line. The cool thing about this "fishing expedition" is, you may accidentally find stuff you like even better. BTW, having some kind of midi keyboard controller will aid in laying down parts. If you don't yet have one, there are tons to pick from(and don't ignore an older used synth with midi. My Ensoniq Mirage has no frills, but works great, feels better than lots of the cheap controllers(which often feel like they have a chunk of foam under the keys), and cost me $50

That Intro sounds like a Portamento Hard Sync sound filtered and set to rise. It's also a sequenced pattern. Second tone is more simple, just a multi-saw pad for chords with a filter rise.

Damn Skippy! Skrillex works dubstep to it's nth degree. A little heads up for the original poster, Skrillex uses but not exclusive Native Instruments FM8 and Massive. There are a ton of you tube tutorials and third party presets for these Virtual Instruments.

I'm definitely going to look into those Native Instrument plugins!

But do you guys have any other good plugins or effects that i could use to get the same sound?

Checkout Machine from NI, you might find what you want in it.

One of the main contributing factors in those synthesizers are vocal formant waveform oscillators. These add a different texture when constructing wobble patches.
