Its called Neofinder now and has a whole lot more features now. And you can import your old databases as well.

Yeah, that is likely to be the case. But SSD's have capacitors that lose their charge over time effecting how the cells retain the data.

It was something the DUC power house Darryl Ramm mentioned, I think, in a post here.

Everything I've read about SSD is they are NOT suitable long turn storage. HDD is much cheaper and reliable. Especially when it is just for backup.
I pulled old data off an OLD IDE drive that had not been spun up since 2000 and was a drive from 1999.
It was noisy but worked just fine.
