PT 11 and OSX Mavericks 10.9

When the OP includes emoticons that are used usually for frustrated users, this gets thrown into that pile of "what did you expect?" Sadly the DUC is riddled with people who are stunned/mad that:

Their AudioMedia II NuBus card doesn't work in their iMac
Digi001 is not supported for Pro Tools 11
Pro Tools doesn't work correctly with unreleased beta Mac or Windows OS
People purchasing 11 and complaining why none of their RTAS plugins are available

Especially on the internets, it's how you say it, not what you say.

when "OS" which is a base of MAC is in develop phase I expect that Avid start working on it as well. If avid do it correctly when new osx will be release Protools must works with the new OS.
And they can say for example Pro tools 11 and all plugins are compatible with Mac OS X 10.8 and later versions!!!!

Actually beta version is exactly for this reason.
And Also is not just for 11 !
New AAX plugins for 10 are not working with none of this beta version

Asking for product to work with pre released software and not expecting problems is just dumb.

Problem may not be Avids issue but the OS.

If you want to play with unreleased software great. Don't expect anything to work with it and don't complain about AVID not working with not final software.

Seriously, why would anyone think it should work with an OS that's still in development (and not available to the general public)? Especially when Pro Tools doesn't always update OS support all that quickly?

That being said, it DOES work.

Still, I see nothing wrong with those of us who have Pro Tools, and have Mavericks sharing our experiences with it.

That's not how it works, nor should it. Apple is still moving the target. Once the target is stationary (GM-gold master), then Avid will and should start allocating resources towards making 11 compatible. Sure, they probably have messed with it internally, but that's none of our business.

Apple is just ridiculous b/c all this is a revenue ploy !!! Annually these are all minor enhancements - not a big major change in most of them
