Apogee Mic 96K - looking for feedback

I'm considering getting the Apogee Mic 96K for my "traveling kit".

Wondering if anyone has tried it and there results. I'm used to using Neumann's and a 416 for my studio VO work. Obviously the 96K will not be in the same league but wondering if it's decent enough to use while traveling without having all the I/O box etc.

works well for me on my 15" MBP i7
My iPad is old so I don't use it (96k = lightning cable)
Iphone 6 works well but you can only have 1 audio in (i.e. no phone patch)
if you do wanna phone patch, it seems to pick up the cell interference from days of yore so that's n/g
but how does it sound? awesome
gain control is a little too swift but you'll find the right level
