PT hangs after initiating offline commit or bounce

Since a week ProTools hangs when i try to initiate an offline commit or bounce.
( application not responding)
This is very frustrating because offline committing tracks speeds up my workflow when working with softsynths and samplers.
Also with mastering tracks: normal aax based plugins like comps, reverbs, eq's...

Anyone out there who knows how to work around or kill this bug.
( the bug started spontaniously...i did not update or installed anything last few weeks...)

Trash prefs, suspect plugins, and if not that a corrupt session. Standard troubleshooting focusing on those things should get you sorted there, start under “help us help you” up top of every DUC page. Not much point in posting more here until you have been through that. And if you need more help, then much more info is needed, system details, versions, exactly what troubleshooting you have tried, etc.

HDX? Remember when you commit or offline bounce on HDX it is running those plugins Native not DSP. That switch may be the thing causing the trip up here. So a interesting test is does real-time bounce work O.K.? If so it’s more likely plugins than corrupt session. You can also try a session running against built in output.

Hanging on Commit or BTD with HEAT enabled in 12.8 and 12.8.1 is a known issue. Supposedly fixed in 12.8.2 (though I haven't confirmed).
