Pro Tools collapsing
Alright guys, so I've been using PT 2018 on my 6900k OC for a while now and my session, after a while, with a few "cpu native out of power", just collapses and I have to restart PT. You'd probably say that I would use too many inserts but guys, I'm using a 6900k OC which scores 30.000 Geekbench points, as much as the iMac Pro. Also, the session in question only harnesses 15% of my CPU resources, even less when you look at the core usage. So what is this? Could it be that the PT Engine just exceeds its limits, which dictates "Pro Tools ran out of CPU power"? Or is there a memory leak that fills up gradually until it collapses?
I've made a clip of what it sounds like when it's gone beyond recovery and I have to restart: OH **** ?! Okay so apparently the bounced clip is fine and it only sounds like this on the Output? Let me try to do a live bounce, it was offline. |
