Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this GUI bog down / issues? it's only with certain plugins but when they are open (UAD Shadow Hills, AutoTune Pro Native, UAD BX Tuner and others) the whole screen bogs down. meters on the plugins themselves, pro tools channel meters get super choppy etc. My setup also seems to crash / glitch out a lot easier than it used to.. Absolutely! It was a well-documented bug prior to 2019.5 but has been fixed (for many) with this latest version of PT -- I'm surprised that you're still seeing it. I suspect that the answer will be yes but do you have the latest versions of those particular plugins? Have you reset the vram since upgrading to Mojave? It often repairs GUI-related issues.

I do have the most recent UAD version installed and the most recent auto tune version as well. I just did a re-install of pro tools in hopes that something just clicks.. |

Let us know -- there will be a fix for this, if you haven't already done so.

I have a larger mix to do today, will let you know if a fresh pro tools install did anything.

I reallllyy can't afford that to be the fix. I'm able to at least work but it's far from perfect. Running out of ideas here ![]() |

I was having 9093 errors on my setup, so I went through every single plugin and checked if there was an update. There were loads more than I thought, it may not just be the ones you describe above. Did you try moving all the non stock plug ins to the unused folder and bring them back in one by one or in groups?
When you reinstalled tools did you try a session before installing any of the plug ins that were cashing an issue? When I did the re-install all my plugins stayed on my computer I just deleted the app. I don't think it's a pro tools exclusive issue because I can get the same lag to happen inside UAD Console with the same few plugins. I just noticed that today. It seems OS related to me.. |

So there's something that keeps popping up in my Activity Monitor "wILTCmxV" if I stop that process it seems to work fine but then it pops back up and slows things down again. Pro tools uses the most CPU and this uses the second most.
Does this thing mean anything to anyone? I google it and get nothing! |

on the recommendation of someone on the UAD forum I did a malware scan and low and behold that same weird character popped up! So far my setup is running perfectly as it did before!
Not sure if that has been there for a while or if it was new but it only became an issue when I made the jump to mojave. Fingers crossed that was the fix! I really appreciate everyone's advice! |
