Check the webcast , this is not the case, existing agreements stand AFAIK

No need to double post bro. Like I said in your other thread, I believe they said that pricing is moving forward and they are not changing the agreement with people who already have Academic version.

I'm sure we will get clarity in a couple of days, so for now, take a breath, and let's wait for the list to be posted.

We are continuing to honor the terms that you purchased under.

New purchases will have different terms.

We will be posting more info about upgrades and pricing so please look for that info.

I don't know who told you that, but it is not correct. Every qualified student purchase of Pro Tools that included 4 years of free upgrades will be honored. That did not change in any way.

The change is in any NEW student purchases as of April 7, 2013 when Pro Tools 11 was announced. If you did not purchase your student version with the 4 year guarantee, then the upgrade to Pro Tools 11 from Pro Tools 10 Academic is $99.

You need to check with your academic retailer, they should have the correct pricing going forward, but if you had the 4 year free upgrade agreement, then you will absolutely get 4 years of free upgrades.

I posted once but but in 4 different areas, Pro Tools 10, PT win, PT Mac & Eleven Rack.

I don't know why it posted so many times in the same thread.

If a moderator can clean up all those duplicated posts in the same thread that would be nice.

To bad for the Digi002 it's useless to me now, I guess a third party should buy the rights for the drivers, (however that works in the programming world)
Thanks
The terms of the Student version you purchased are still honored (terms are only changing for new purchases).

Digi 002 is not supported (not tested) in PT11, but it uses the same driver as the 003 which is supported. Nothing was purposely done to prevent Digi 002 from working.

Double (or in this case quadruple) posting is not allowed. Your 4 threads were merged into 1. We can clean these up.

Don't everybody panic PT10 will continue to be supported and updated as needed(bug fixes and OS compatibility since Apple likes to change stuff every 3 months......). Keep rolling with the student edition of 10 and become proficient. By the time you NEED to move up the ladder, you won't be a student anymore
