digi 003 analog oputs?

read the manual it says nothing as for how can they be used, i would like to route some individual tracks out of one of these analog outs so i can use an external processor, and looped back into the new track in the digi?

Yeah, it's only pdf unless you buy the hardcopy..

You should be able to get to it with ProTools open by going to the help menu..

There are also a bunch of .pdf instructions that get installed here:

<system drive>/Applications/Digidesign/Documentation/ProTools


There are actually many different pdfs in the "documentation" folder

Hey Basslik its pretty simple; just go out from the 003 using output 3(for starters; any one will do except 1-2) but out of 3>into whatever unit u have of use; Now the unit 'of use', come out of it into the 003 input '3'; inPT, instead of choosing the Multi/ or Mono Insert, u go down to the i/o & choose from there; U may need to set that up in ur i/o options too; Keep in mind, u may/will run into a latency issue... & u have to make sure that ur NOT using that input/output on any other track...

this should get u started BUT still look into the other info provided as well by the other fellas...

Yo Key, since you brought it up and I consider you a "king of massive LE mixocity" Do you use or have you ever (wow I sound like a cop) the Mellowmuse ATA? I've been meaning to try the dem but I'm in the middle of some pieces and don't wanna upset the applecart. And on my new tune I'm using Reaper...what a fine little app.

Yeah I have, but honestly not having to use it much; I use mostly (ITB) Waves, Mcdsp & some Massey plugs; TL Space for verb mostly so I don't get latency much @ all with those; I do however use some of my eq's, Lexicon for another verb & Avalon 737 for lead vocs sometimes; But answering the question, MellowMuse does work quite well; If u have a complex mix, U have to sorta think it out the 1st time or 2, but after u got it, U got it;

Really, 1 can argue that MellowMuse is just as good as the ADC in HD, because that isn't the most flawless of ADC's either...
