I never got an answer to this: I have PT 12 HD with a support plan so I will get 12.2 and the Pro Plugins, but what if I don't upgrade any further, will Avid remove the Pro Plugins then?

The guy in the middle, Tim Carroll, has only been in charge for a few months but the change in tone and the results (12.1, 12.2, and the plan changes) are HUGE IMO.

Things are looking up at Avid for sure with him at the helm.

Yes, you won't be able to use them. I guess they'll physically be there but won't work.

Yes. The plugins are part of the support plan for HD so if that lapses your plugins will no longer work.

Yes, They said the plugins are active as long as your upgrade plan is active.

Again, still no new features, just making old features free. Obviously this wasn't the plan they set out with. I'm guessing since none of the actual new features are ready they need to "throw some bones" . I have to give them credit for at least trying....

But as someone that owns most of those plugins already , it actually continues to make my investment worth less.

Amazing, almost NO mention of cloud collaboration features....

There must be some major problems behind the scenes....

looks like you are only renting the plugins.
I own most of them so for me I do not see any bonus to upgrade my HDX 11
