Default Slapper

Slapper has been released!
I don’t know what to say except - just try it.
I’m still completely besotted with this plugin - it’s as if I had nothing to do with creating it and just installed it for the first time.

Check the videos, try the demo and listen to some quality TV to get a taste.
Slapper has recently been heard in Matthew Waters’ "Black Sails" work as well as Brent Burge’s stellar mixes for "Ash vs Evil Dead".
See if you can spot the big Slapper scenes in Ash vs E.D.

It IS interesting!

I played with it for hours last night instead of doing my work

Like all Cargo Cults stuff - you can buy it because you know you will use it!

Good one Justin!

Yes, this is a serious design flaw in the plugin.
We're working around the clock to find a fix

Lots of music guys use windows. Maybe this is the plug in you should port?

Yeah, I hear you Brandon.
It just comes down to having time and resources.

Slapper used my Spanner project as a starting point - so I could get it prototyped quickly and get it released in a reasonable timeframe. Windows would be a rebuild for Slapper and in that time I could probably create something entirely new.

But if it looks like music people are really getting excited I'll look at AU and possibly even windows. So please cast your votes here.

I love it!
I was also up late with Slapper last night.

Really great intuitive interface and sounds fantastic.

My 2 wishes would be feedback between the individual delays, so you can feed them into each other and a signal degradation option so the delays become crunchier as they repeat, like a tape delay. Then you could get even more 1960's sci-fi with it.

I used it on a dockside scene of people shouting from a distance and it was uncannily realistic.

Brilliant!

cheeky name too.. suspect was named one 'inspired' night possibly involving whiskey in a smokey room???

quite tempted by the tape delay aspect.. will u consider getting slapper in bed with a spanner to do some kind of dopplering?

maybe a package price for all 3?

cos I do have a date with conformaliser - need to buy it this week or so

- I was broke the last time the 'sale' price was sent to me! so missed out on a hungy off there...
