Side chaining a signal generator to a kick drum track
Hi guys,
I am trying to trigger a 60hz tone with a kick drum track to give it extra body. I have created an aux track and set up a send from the kick drum track to the aux. in the aux track i have set a gate and a 60hz signal generator tone. I want the tone to be triggered by the kick drum signal. I had it working before but I have completely fogotten how i did it, and now i am hittin my head off a wall tryin to set it up again. Any suggestions? Cheers guys. |

Re: Side chaining a signal generator to a kick drum track
Create an instrument track with the Signal Generator, set to 60Hz. Put a Gate on that track under the Signal Generator. Create a send on your Kick drum track and bring up the send level. Set up the key input on your gate to the same send as your kick, and enable the key. Adjust the Gate as necessary.
